curative act
A form of retrospective legislation reaching back on past events to correct errors or irregularities and to render valid and effective attempted acts which otherwise would be ineffective for the purpose the parties intended, particularly irregularities in conveyancing; operating to complete a transaction which the parties intended to accomplish but carried out imperfectly. 16 Am J2d Const L § 430. A validation by statute of an imperfect or irregular deed. 23 Am J2d Deeds § 141.
