Cujus est dare, ejus est disponere

Cujus est dare, ejus est disponere
He who has the gift of anything has the right to dispose of it. The law's protection of a spendthrift trust rests upon the principle of the maxim. It allows the donor to condition his bounty as he will, so long as he violates no law in so doing. Re Morgan, 223 Pa 228, 72 A 498.
