contract of record
A contract recorded pursuant to recording statutes, for example, a contract for the sale of real estate. 45 Am J1st Records § 38. While a judgment is in no proper sense a contract, judgments have sometimes been classed as "contracts of record." O'Brien v Young, 95 NY 428, 436.
