contract hauler
As defined by a state statute regulating motor carriers, the term means every person hauling, controlling or operating, or managing any motor vehicle used in the business of transporting property for compensation. State ex rel. Scott v Superior Court, 173 Wash 547, 24 P2d 87. See contract carrier.
