collation of advancements
the grouping with the assets of a decedent's estate of an intestate's estate of the value of property given by him by way of advancement to heirs or distributecs during his lifetime, so that the whole may be divided so far as possible in accordance with the statutes of descent and distribution, each share being charged with what has already been received.
