bipartisan board
A municipal board composed of an even number of officers selected equally from the two leading political parties. 37 Am J1st Mun Corp § 86. Such boards are not confined to municipalities. Boards or commissions of the state or national government may be created by statutes which provide for equal representation of the two leading political parties in the personnel of the board in order to prevent the evil of partisan politics in the performance of the functions of the board.
