Sums set apart by an employer under a pension scheme declared to be for the purpose of giving the employees a share of the earnings of the business over and above their wages are not wages within the meaning of a statute giving a preference to wages in the distribution of assets by a receiver. 'Wages," defined in an Unemployment Compensation Act as "all remuneration for employment," do not include a pension paid by the employer to a retired employee.
