- Warehousing or depositing for safekeeping. As used in the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act of 1918, the word is defined as meaning the placing of agricultural or horticultural commodities in storage rooms or other places where the commodities are to be held prior to further preparation or shipment, or the taking care of the commodities while they are being so held.
