sectarian book

sectarian book
A book which shows that it teaches the peculiar dogmas of a religious sect as such. A book is not sectarian which merely comprehends the dogmas as interpreted by a part of the adherents of a sect; nor is a book sectarian merely because it was edited or compiled by a person of a particular sect. It is not the authorship or the mechanical composition, but the contents which give the book its character. Hackett v Brooksville School Dist. 120 Ky 608, 87 SW 792.
