Praescriptio est titulus ex usu et tempore substantiam capiens ab auctoritate legis

Prescription is title taking its essence from use and time by authority of law. Praescriptio et executio non pertinent ad valorem contractus, sed ad tempos et modum actionis instituendae. Prescription and execution do not affect the validity of a contract, but they go to the time and manner of instituting an action.
