orchard
A tract of land, sometimes large, sometimes small devoted to the growing of trees which produce fruit or nuts good for food. To constitute an orchard within the meaning of provisions in an eminent domain statute exempting orchards from condemnation, the number of fruit trees, within certain limits appears immaterial, but a few scattered or neglected and decayed trees are not considered an orchard. 26 Am J2d Em D § 109.
