A physician who specializes in treating abnormalities and diseases of the eye. Black v Bearden, 167 Ark 455, 268 SW 27. One who practices medicine and surgery ill the treatment of diseases of the eye. Anno: 141 ALR 884. The practice of an oculist has relation to the practice of medicine and surgery in the treatment of diseases of the eye, and to the measurement of the powers of vision, and the adaptation of lenses for the aid thereof.
