occupational disability clause
A provision in a health or accident insurance policy, or in a life insurance policy containing a disability provision, for the payment of periodic indemnity for total disability preventing the insured from performing any of the duties of his occupation, business, or profession. 29A Am J Rev ed Ins § 1516.
