A notice of an assignment of a chose in action given to the debtor for the purpose of completing the assignment and vesting title in the assignee, especially for the purpose of precluding the debtor of the right to deal with the original creditor by making payment or otherwise in reference to the subject matter of the assignment. 6 Am J2d Assign § 96.
