mixed tithes
Those tithes which consisted of natural products which had been nurtured and preserved in part by the care of man, such as of wool, milk, pigs, etc. One tenth of these products had to be paid in gross, while in respect to personal tithes, only a tenth of the net gains or profits had to be paid. See 2 Bl Comm 24.
