Longshoremen and Harbor Workers Compensation Act
A federal statute which provides, with certain exceptions, for compensation, for injuries occurring in maritime employment, in cases where recovery for the resulting disability or death through workmen's compensation proceedings may not validly be provided by state law. 33 USC §§ 901 et seq; 58 Am J1st Workm Comp § 124.
