amicable suit
A suit in which all the facts are admitted by the parties, leaving only one or more questions of law for the court to decide. Belloc v Rogers, 9 Cal 123. A suit in which, pursuant to prior agreement between the parties, needless expense and delay are eliminated by forgoing insistence upon technicalities and by the admission of facts on the part of either party knowing them to be true.
