A quality which varies according to the particular circumstances, and from one generation to another; conduct which comports with a good character; a character which measures up as good among the people of the community, that is, up to the standard of the average citizen. Even a single lapse from marital fidelity by an applicant for naturalization is not, in the absence of extenuating circumstances, consistent with the requirement of five years of unbroken "good moral character," and the burden of proof of the extenuating circumstance rests upon the applicant.
