The fee charged by a public officer for the filing of a pleading, an instrument, or document in his office. The amount to be paid to the clerk of court upon filing a petition in bankruptcy or a petition for relief in the bankruptcy court by way of reorganization or plan for rehabilitation of debtor. 9 Am J2d Bankr § 1627.
