falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus
False in one thing, false in everything. The maxim expresses the general principle of law that where a witness has testified falsely to some material matter in a cause, the jury are at liberty to disregard his testimony in other respects, unless it is corroborated by other proof. 58 Am J1st Witn § 872.
