external or visible evidence
A familiar term in accident insurance policies covering injury sustained while riding in a motor vehicle, requiring as a condition of the insurer's liability that there be external or visible evidence of a collision or accident on the motor vehicle in which the insured alleges that he was riding when injured. 29A Am J Rev ed Ins § 1246.
